These limited edition CD cases fold out into a dream box peep show. The boxes were printed on specialty WILD paper with a 1970's Heidelberger letterpress at Genghis Kern in Denver, Colorado. After the box is assembled, just insert the 3 transparent slides and a 3D painting comes to life. Each case also comes with a 12 page lyric booklet and a digital download of the album.

Inside of this box there lives a dream.

A collection of experiences and investigations. Late night experiments and
inexplicable fits of laugher. Flash floods followed by long stretches of drought. The dream is a feedback loop with no real beginning or end. Anything said
or done shows up somewhere else, reflected and remixed. Sometimes the line
between the dream and the waking world swims, blurs, dissolves. You submerge.
The surroundings are constantly changing. Seasons come and go. Keep going
farther out. Where is it all leading? Each answer brings new questions. How
long has this been going on? The quiet moon is out now. Big yellow stars hang
down from the ceiling. Close your eyes and take it all in.
You won’t know it’s a dream until you wake up.

I Dream 03:41
Behind the dawn the stars escape There’s nothing left to find We sit and watch the big blue waves Rolling through the sky Long ago, this used to be the bottom of the sea For a little while we drift above The limitless unknown There was no good reason, just for fun you Tried to skip a stone, across the sky Way down at the bottom of the sea I dream there is a city where we go every night That disappears into the sleepy morning I dream about Colfax Avenue I dream about the rivers and the mountains too I dream about making sweet love to you I dream I dream about black and white TVs I dream there was a time that was made for me I dream about Kerouac and Cassidy I dream I dream that I was driving up 285 And the city was an ocean floor that dried up Into the sky, I know we’re alive I know we’re alive because we all are swimming We all are swimming from the 4th of July Clear through to Thanksgiving I dream that there is time explore All the places that our love has never gone before I dream that’s where we’ll go And I dream there is a city And if we go there tonight I don’t care if I wake up in the morning

Diamond Lake 00:31

Awake to see the diamond lake Is much more still and clear When you are not here Something to contemplate When all is quiet and out of sight I catch the light and magnify it Today I’m not afraid to say I understand what it means In the language of dreams Speak in more subtle ways We look inside Inquiring minds have a right to know Somebody shine a light How much longer must I wait I’ve had as much as I can take And then your dark magic secret thrills me Why do I love what kills me Then suddenly the mirror shatters It’s what isn’t said that really matters And the unspoken lesson we were taught It’s only crime if you get caught So where you last Thursday? I was somewhere else that day I was miles and miles away Let’s see how long you last Under my giant magnifying glass It’s the age of insecurity It’s the only true philosophy It’s the solar luminosity It’s the hope for all humanity Can you see me now? I can’t see you Speak loud, tell the truth It’s gonna be a straight shot and a long drop Arise, have you been hypnotized You’ve got those mercury eyes There are no words to describe Speak in more subtle ways, we look inside Inquiring minds have a right to know Somebody shine a light Somebody shine a light

Smile and a handshake Someday you might make Me a believer after all Turn into one who can Pull out the plug and then rest for as long as the day is tall How long will you last When you’re moving this fast The days flying past And I still can’t decide The lanterns are burning And the wheels always turning When you’ve got that look in your Mercury eye Spin the wheel and guess the weight Toss a ring up into the air I’ve changed so much since yesterday It’s like I wasn't even there No no no, it’s like he was not there I turned off the lights and lock up gate for the evening And then felt a little drop but I did not see the shapes that were forming High above the ridge, in the darkness and without warning Until the wind shook the clouds and the stars fell down from ceiling And the roar was so loud that bells in my ears started ringing And I grabbed what I could and I just started running And then suddenly, it was plain to see I didn’t have to go looking, it just came to me It just came to me, an epiphany I was all tied up, and now I’ve broken free I think I belong with the ducks in the pond In a trance well beyond repair I’ve changed so much since yesterday It’s like I wasn't even there No no no, it’s like he was not there

I skip through time but I forget Those distant days before we met Back in the turning century The story never ends We watch it spinning through the years Never listening Reenacting history While my life is skipping over me

You & I 09:20
I was sitting in this gnarly old tree With the most beautiful girl next to me When suddenly something tricky caught my eye It was a mythical Arabic box I had to pry open its rusted lock And when it broke, in a cloud of smoke I awoke in the pedal of a rose and voice spoke Why do we move so fast? Everybody else I see is slipping side by side Living to scrape by always in the past We blew a wish in a dandelion It scattered ten thousand ways While on the path to the garden we wound up In an impossible maze An impossible maze We left a life of security Learned to improvise We snuck into the forbidden city In a humble disguise So we have learned from the wise You and I I say I’m doing it all for you You say I’m never around We made a puzzle so difficult We couldn’t figure it out We couldn’t figure it out One bright little light in the cellar broke Deep down underground look around in the vanishing smoke Where are you? What did the feather to the mountain say? What a beautiful day to blow away You and I

In a Square 00:40
13.
Just as it began I was waiting for the end I noticed that I was suspended in the air In a circle in a square Two hands above my shoulders Two hands by side Exactly in the style Of tomorrow’s Vitruvian Man So why wouldn’t we play A little pointless little game Without a direction We are spiraling in space When I spin too far away I can follow a melody home So if you lose your way Between the cradle And the grave I left a song for you
